Payments + Pins + Stickers + Surveys + NEW DESIGNS?!

Hello, Everyone~! 

I hope this update finds you all in good health. I wanted to get you all up to speed with what is going on on my end.

Payments

The payments have been collected as of the end of last week. It took a little longer than usual, between some Kickstarter delays and my Bank undergoing changes with their Online Banking. When it rains, it pours. 

That said, out of the (approx) £8100, £7100 was transferred to me. The deduction includes dropped pledges, Kickstarter, and Banking fees. A further 3% will be deducted once I start building the surveys through BackerKit, as this is one of their terms of service, and we can use the remainder of the funds to start production.

Pins

I am finishing the design sheets with all the sizes, screen prints, glitter, Pantone colours, and other details that my manufacturer will need to start production. I will be paying for production to commence by the end of next week.

Stickers

I have put in the order for our stickers through Sticker App, and they should arrive by the 17th of this month. Once they come, I will photograph each design and be able to add them to your surveys as add-ons. Showing photos of stickers always makes them more inviting than looking at mockups. 

I am excited about these stickers as I am trying some new styles with this lot. Including a giant-size sticker that one can put on their computers, tablets, or even cars, as these stickies are weatherproof and scratchproof! How exciting!

Surveys

While I do not have a date of when the surveys will be sent out just yet, I promise that the wait only means that you will have more options for more goodies once you are browsing your add-on section! I will send you another update as soon as the surveys are sent out so you will know to check your inbox.

New Designs

As I explained in my last update, I have been working on some new t-shirt designs, which will be available to choose from when filling in your surveys (for those who have chosen to pledge for a t-shirt), as well as being purchasable from the add-on section. These shirts will retail for £20, but they will be available to you for £18 each.

Hello everyone! 

The funding portion of our campaign has now come to a close, and the first series of Nya Nya Neko Gaming Enamel Pins have been funded.

While it is not quite the funding number we initially set out to achieve, we still landed on a fair sum which will help cover the bulk of the cost. Hopefully, as you fill out your surveys later down the line, purchasing add-ons will also help cover the remaining costs of the campaign. 

Nevertheless, I am immensely grateful to everyone who has chosen to support this project and generously helped bring these designs to life! Thank you!

Funding Breakdown

For total transparency and because some of you are genuinely interested in understanding the working behind these campaigns, I have added a breakdown of how the funds will be spent. 

The funding will cover:-

• Kickstarter Charges (5% of Kickstarter Total)
• BackerKit (Survey) Charges (3% of Kickstarter Total)
• Bank Transfer Charges (Fixed Charge)
• One Time Enamel Pin Molds Fee (Approx £80 for each design)
• Enamel Pins Production Costs
• Enamel Pin Backing Cards and Sleeves Costs
• Waterproof Stickers Production Costs
• Badge Button Materials
• T-Shirt Production Costs
• Shipping Costs

First Step, Payments

In the next two weeks, Kickstarter will be charging your credit cards for the pledged amounts and transferring them to me around October 4th or 5th. Once that happens, I will make the payment to my manufacturer, and the production process begins.

Please ensure that the card details attached to your account are correct and that there are sufficient funds for the payment to process, as this will help the production process run a lot smoother.

Second Step, Surveys

Unlike other campaigns, the surveys will not be rushed out as quickly. I am working on some new t-shirt and sticker designs for the Winter/Halloween convention season and would like to add them as add-ons for you to choose from as a form of exclusive content. This means I will have to finish working on these designs before I can build the surveys and send them out.

Since the production of the pins takes several months anyway, I don't see the harm in waiting to send out surveys, but if you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to ask.

In the meantime, I will be updating you with sneak peeks of what I am working on and what you should expect to see in the addon section of the surveys.

Third Step, Surveys and Backerkit

Once I finish working on the new designs, which should be done in a few weeks, I will finalize the BackerKit surveys and send you the links via email as soon as possible. I will also post a new update here to inform you that the surveys have been sent out.

The surveys will allow you to choose from all the unlocked pins AND bonus pins, confirm your shipping addresses, and purchase any add-ons you might be interested in.

Leap of Faith! - All Pins Unlocked! + New Pin Designs!

Hello Kickstarter~!

I hope this update finds you all well and in good health.

I cannot deny that the pace at which this campaign is going, compared to my previous ones, has been a little bit concerning. It has been a couple of years since we haven't managed to unlock all of the designs on a Kickstarter within the first week or two.

That said, I recognize that there are various reasons why this is the case. I have pushed this series to have many more pins than I usually do, so many are still waiting for their favorite characters to be unlocked before committing to a pledge! 

One must also consider the current global economy and its effects on making frivolous purchases, such as pins and stickers. 

With all this in mind, I have made a terrifying decision.  I will unlock all the pins in this campaign and risk having to self-fund the remaining ones from my pocket. I shall consider it my own birthday present to myself! 😅

Alongside the 31 pins we originally started with, I am also adding the following 2 new designs which I have worked on this week. As they say, in for a penny, in for a pound.

Lambert, Cult of the Lamb, and Saban Moon, cause I am Sailor Moon Obsessed!

It is a massive leap of faith on my part. Still, I have the strong gut feeling that given the opportunity to get their favorite characters, people will be more interested in this collection and possibly pledge. I hope you can all understand this is a big step for a small artist like myself, but I think it is for the best. Fingers crossed that this is the right move to push the campaign forward.

The graphics on the campaign have all been updated to reflect these new changes.

In addition, I also wanted to present you with other pins which I plan on restocking alongside this series. As an extra incentive, I will be adding these pins to the campaign and making them available for you to choose from upon making your pin selection on your surveys.

Are You A Part of the Cult of the Lamb?

Hello everyone,

I hope this update finds you well and in good health. 

Since we last spoke, the campaign has been slow but steady, reaching near 15 of the unlockable pins. As some of you may know, I have already self-funded the Jinx pin, which would only need a restock, so swings and roundabouts, we're nearly at 16 out of 31, and that's more than halfway! 

That said, I had a cheeky thought. 

If I were to unlock THIS little lamb right away, as an extra special treat, would any of you consider upping their pledge for them? I'm very tempted~! I've worked on this mean little cutie this morning, and I'd love to see them added to the collection.

Hello Kickstarter~! 

My name is Gilles, and I am the artist behind the Nya Nya Neko Gaming Enamel Pin Series~! Firstly, I would like to thank you all for following and pledging to my campaign. We have had a solid start and have unlocked 13 out of the 31 pin designs so far. That is no easy feat, so thank you for your support.

We are a little under halfway with 32 days to go. If I can call on your help to share the campaign in your favorite gaming or enamel-pin-collection communities, I am sure we can push the project further and unlock some more designs.

Secondly, I wanted to share a minor update with you all.

I have finally finished shading all the characters in the campaign so far. These will be used for our waterproof vinyl stickers, badge buttons, and potentially, even some acrylic charms in the not-so-distant future~! 

I hope you like the collection in full color. I would love for you to tell me which ones are your favorites in the comments below~!
